We love log homes so much, we have built two model homes at the same location -- one iin 1996, and the other in 1988. We bet you can't tell us which is which.
We custom-designed our own home to satisfy our family's needs and can do the same for you. We realize that standard floor plans will not always meet your individual requirements, so we have the ability to fully customize the plans of any of the Tomahwk Log and Country Homes. | What is included in the kit? | Subfloors; windows and exterior doors; complete roof system, including insulation; 2-by 4-inch studs for interior dividing walls; knotty-pine interior cathedral ceilings; stairs with log posts and rails; porches; decks; caulk; stain; blueprints; and delivery. |

| Can you recommend builders? | Yes. We have a network of qualified builders throughout Ohio. |
| How long will it take to complete my log home? | With a qualified builder doing all the work, a 2000-square-foot home will take 5 1/2 to 6 months to complete. |
| Is financing for a log home different than a conventional home? | It can be, but we can give you the names of lenders who have worked with our customers before. Also, because we offer half-log homes, you will find it easier to meet heat calculations required for building permits in many parts of the country. |
| Is there an additional cost for shipping? | Shipping is included in the package price. |
| How does it compare in price to a conventional home or modular home? | This is a custom-built home and will be more expensive to build, but it will also be more energy efficient for the life of the home. |
| Does a log home hold its value for resale, if we should have to relocate? | We have found that the homes increase in value over the years. A market for log homes certianly exists, as not everyone has the desire to design and build their own. |
| Can I add on to my home at a later date? | Yes. We recommend you plan the original house with that in mind. We can help draw up plans to include any future needs. |
| How much maintenance is involved in the upkeep of a log home? | Very little inside - dusting. The exterior, however, must be treated regularly based on your home's environment and the products used. On an average you can expect to re-stain your home every 3 to 5 years. |
